If you are a young person who was living in ‘Out of Home Care’ on your 16th birthday, you are eligible for additional supports after you leave care (between the ages of 18 and 21).
Better Futures Barwon provides flexible and tailored support to young people as they transition from care to adulthood, and may include access to housing, support from a key development worker, and support with developing independent living skills.
Community Connections is a key service offer of the Better Futures model that aims to build supportive networks, pathways, and opportunities for young people within their communities.
Housing Pathways Program within Better Futures Barwon provides a stepped platform and tailored support for young people to build independent living skills, sustainable tenancies, and work towards future aspirations through securing private rental properties via Headleasing.
