Sometimes a gap can open up between a young person and their parent or carer, causing conflict in the family home.
Meli can assist young people aged 10-17 and their parents or carers to reduce violent or aggressive behaviours and foster healthier family relationships.
Step Up – Building Healthy Relationships is a voluntary program that includes casework and groupwork.
See more information about the groupwork here: Meli 2023 Groupwork program flyer
Step Up – Building Healthy Relationships aims to:
- reduce a young person’s use of abusive and negative behaviours
- provide alternative strategies to manage negative behaviours
- increase parents/carers capacity to identify and manage challenging behaviours
- support parents and carers to maintain safety and stability in the home.
