At Meli Kindergartens, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our top priority. To support this, we’re implementing new national guidelines around the use of personal electronic devices in early childhood settings.
As part of this, personal devices such as mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, and cameras must not be used in learning spaces by anyone attending the kindergarten – including staff, parents, carers, and visitors – while participating in activities, group sessions, or volunteering.
These rules do not apply during drop-off and pick-up times, but we do ask that phones are not used while inside the centre during those times.
What this means for you:
- No photo or video-capable devices in learning areas
- Medical exemptions may apply – please speak with our team if you think this may apply to you
- We can securely store your device during your visit if needed
- Please avoid using your phone inside the centre during drop-off and pick-up
If you have any questions or need support, your Kindergarten Leader is here to help.
Thank you for working with us to keep Meli Kindergartens safe, respectful, and focused on children’s learning and development.
