The Meli Giving Tree Appeal wrapped up at the end of 2025, raising more than $100,000 to assist individuals and families experiencing hardship during the festive season.
The appeal was made possible through the efforts of dedicated fundraising teams and the collaboration of The Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre (The SAFV Centre). Generous partners included the Anthony Costa Foundation, APCO Foundation, West Carr & Harvey, GMHBA and Geelong Connected Communities.
Media support from Bay FM Geelong and Times News Group – including Geelong Times, Surf Coast Times, and Bellarine Times – helped amplify the campaign’s reach across the region.
The funds provided essential assistance to thousands of locals, helping to make the holiday season brighter and less challenging for those in need, including to service users at The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre (The SAFV Centre), Cultura, The Orange Door, Wathaurong, and DFFH Child Protection.
Thank you to everyone who fundraised and donated to this important cause.
