Meli appoints Robyn Hayles as new CEO

Meli is pleased to announce the appointment of Robyn Hayles as its new Chief Executive
Officer, effective 7 July 2025.

Ms Hayles is a highly respected leader with more than two decades of executive and CEO
experience in the health and community services sector.

With a background in nursing and a Master of Public Health, she brings a wealth of expertise
in strategic leadership, system transformation, and community-focused service delivery.

Ms Hayles said she was honoured to join an organisation with such a strong reputation and
deep commitment to community wellbeing.

“Meli plays a vital role in supporting individuals, families, and communities across our
region,” she said.

“I look forward to working with the team to continue to build on this legacy and lead Meli into
its next chapter.”

Ms Hayles’ career has spanned complex service systems, where she has consistently
delivered strong outcomes in business growth, organisational culture, and professional
partnerships.

Meli Board Chair Chris Bowly welcomed the appointment, saying the Board was confident Ms Hayles would guide the organisation with vision, compassion, and strategic insight.

“Robyn’s leadership experience, values-driven approach, and deep understanding of
community needs make her an outstanding choice to lead Meli,” Mr Bowly said.

Ms Hayles will succeed Grant Boyd who announced his retirement in January following a
long career in the community and education sectors.

“We thank Grant for his outstanding leadership and contribution to Meli,” Mr Bowly said.

Meli is Geelong’s largest community services and kindergarten program provider and
employs around 900 staff across the Barwon and western areas of Victoria.
