From Portarlington to Lara, to Colac and everywhere in between, there is a Meli kindergarten close by. Next week, families can visit their local Meli kindergarten for themselves.
As part of Education Week (14-20 May), Meli welcomes all to join in on its kindergarten open days.
Local families are invited to see first-hand how Meli kindergartens are providing an educational experience that is inclusive, innovative and of course, lots of fun. Families will be able to see the indoor and outdoor learning spaces, ask the educators questions and there will be a few fun freebies for the children who come along.
Meli, the new name for BCYF and Bethany, is the region’s largest kindergarten network, with 30 kindergartens across the Geelong region, including the Bellarine Peninsula and Colac. The recently merged organisation offers 15 hours a week of free, 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten.
As well as being the largest kindergarten provider, Meli is proven to provide high quality kindergarten education, with several kindergartens in the network achieving the highest rating in the National Quality Standard (NQS) by the Department of Education and Training. Meli kindergartens incorporate an Anti-Bias Approach, meaning Meli educators work with every child, every day to promote kindness, equity and inclusion.
Meli also specialises in parenting groups, pre-school readiness with its HIPPY programs, and its Early Childhood Approach through its partnership with the NDIS, making it a leader in the early childhood space.
“We are so pleased to be able to open the doors to our kindergartens next week,” Meli CEO Grant Boyd said.
