Give kindness this Christmas with Geelong’s 2024 Giving Tree Appeal
The Geelong community has always shown incredible kindness and generosity, especially during the holiday season. The Geelong Giving Tree Appeal, now in its 23rd year, continues to provide much-needed support to local children, families, and individuals facing hardships during Christmas.
Originally launched as a toy appeal in 2000, the initiative has since evolved into a fundraising effort, with contributions transformed into e-gift cards that empower families to purchase gifts that are meaningful to them. In 2024, as the cost-of-living crisis deepens, we’re seeing more families than ever before seeking assistance—many for the first time.
In partnership with The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre, Meli is committed to easing some of these burdens through the Geelong Giving Tree Appeal. Every dollar raised will be converted into e-gift cards and distributed to those in need, allowing them to experience the joy of Christmas with dignity and choice.
